Bouyed by the resounding box office success of 'Bajirao Mastani', filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has started working on the script of his next, we hear. The project is likely to go on floors in a few months and backing it will be Eros International, whose bosses were rumoured to have had creative differences with Bhansali over how the period drama ought to shape up.

Sources suggest his next directorial will also be made on a big budget and feature A-listers, but details about the subject are being fiercely guarded for the time being. “Eros is not only interested to co-produce this film, but all projects made under Bhansali’s banner in 2016. They want to take their success story forward. Documents for the agreement are being readied at the moment,” reveals a source.

While Bhansali remained unavailable for comment, the spokesperson of Eros refrained from sharing details of the development. However, an insider at the production house confirms the news and adds: “Eros and Bhansali are planning a press conference to make an official announcement about the film.”
