Maneka Gandhi will now promote a film that talks about letting animals live peacefully

A recently released animation film, The Green Chic, has managed to grab the attention of politician and fierce animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi. So much so that not only has she asked the filmmakers to arrange a special screening for her, but she has also promised them to promote the movie. Not surprisingly, the film's message is ufffd stop slaughtering animals and let them live peacefully.

According to filmmaker Apurva Shah, CEO of Koffee Break Pictures, that earlier made My Friend Ganesha says, "We are making an arrangement to show Maneka the movie. She has a lot of ideas for it. She also wants her organisation to join hands with our movie and do something together."

"Chiclet (a chicken) is the hero of the film, Ginger is a monkey and Quaky is a duck. These three are best friends and the poster boys. She said she would love to endorse our characters on her merchandise. She wants to have them on her t-shirts as well. She said we can use her website to promote our movie and sell our DVDs, too," Shah further adds.

A while ago Pamela Anderson was quoted saying that she loved the movie, Pamela Anderson: The Green Chic is a heart-warming film (Hitlist, June, 25). Very excited about MG coming on board of the film Shah further states, "We are thrilled that someone like her is taking interest in the movie. Her involvement takes with this film to a different level. We will take her help and urge the government to make it tax-free because the movie is promoting a great cause as well, not only entertaining people." The film was recently awarded as the movie of the year by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals at a premiere on Wednesday.
