Filmmajer and choreographer Farah Khan recently launched a video in association with Merck, worldwide leader in fertility treatment, to share her journey into parenthood through IVF.
In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) is a cause close to her heart since it helped her start a family. In a candid conversation, Farah admits, "Infertility can be cured. With IVF, I have been blessed with three beautiful angels. Life feels complete now. I urge all couples, who are unable to conceive, to seek help and fulfil their dream of parenthood. It changed my life and it could change theirs too."
Despite rapid advances in treatment, infertility affects nearly 27.5 million couples in India. Speaking about the campaign, Anand Nambiar, managing director of Merck-India, says, "We are happy to share that our awareness efforts now have a new face and voice with Farah Khan coming on board as a 'cause ambassador'. Merck has taken several little steps over the years to spread awareness on infertility as we understand that seeking treatment is emotionally and physically challenging. With this video, we expect to reach out to millions of couples seeking help, with the message that infertility can be dealt with and one should not lose hope. They can always seek help of specialists to fulfil their dream."
