Rohit Kumar, general secretary of FTII's Student Association, said, "They have brought in somebody who supports the right-wing ideology. If you notice Kher's statements over the last two years, he has been a mouthpiece of BJP and RSS. Also, he has his own private acting institute in Mumbai. That is conflict of interest."
Robin Joy, president of FTII Student Association, said, "We will be holding a meeting tonight with our students. We'll keep our students' opinion in mind and accordingly, take a stand on the subject."
