A documentary on adult film star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone's life, directed by filmmaker Dilip Mehta will be premiered at the Sundance Film Festival next year

Sunny Leone’s life-story is no less than a typical Bollywood potboiler, which is perhaps what inspired Dilip Mehta, brother of filmmaker Deepa Mehta, to make a documentary on her. It will premiere next year at the Sundance Film Festival in the US.

Sunny’s husband, Daniel Weber, confirms the story, saying, “The documentary captures both Sunny’s and my life-story. Dilip Mehta shot us over 18 months and it has gone to the editing phase. It will release at the Sundance Fest next year.”
Born to Sikh parents in Canada, Sunny was studying to be a paediatric nurse when one of her classmates introduced her to the photographer of a lads’ mag. After that, she ventured into the porn film industry. About a decade later, she took part in reality show Bigg Boss here in 2011 and was noticed by Mahesh Bhatt. She made her Bollywood debut with Pooja Bhatt’s Jism 2 (2012). Since then, there has been no looking for her. Today. Sunny is counted among the most sought-after actresses in the Hindi film industry.
Her husband steps into Bollywood with a project titled Dangerous Husn.
