Wants to grow organic fruits and vegetables
While most men crave for bikes or cars for Christmas Dino Morea is different. He's decided to gift himself a farm!
Childhood dream
He confirms, "I have been saving my money to buy a farm around Mumbai where I can grow my own vegetables and fruits organically. It's going to my Christmas gift to me. Maybe, with time, I will also get horses and a few cows for my farm. I guess I am a simple guy with simple needs. It's been my dream since childhood to have my own farm.
Doing my bit
The actor has been farm- hunting and has almost finalised on one, "Hopefully, I shall have it soon." The actor, a champion for the environment, swears he won't use an agricultural land for commercial purposes, "We all have to do our bit to save nature to control global warming. My home in Bandra too is like a little jungle where I grow all kind of plants and trees. It's my Garden of Eden. I have been growing a fir tree which is about 6 feet tall. Maybe one day when it is bigger I will use it as my Christmas tree."
Fake for now
This year, however, Dino has to contend with a fake Christmas tree that has been decorated by his parents Ronaldo and Edna, alongwith a few friends. "I attended Midnight Mass at St Andrews last night with my entire family and then came home and had some wine with friends. Tomorrow we will have a traditional Christmas lunch and brunch with family and friends like Alistair Woodham and his family and Deanne Pandey and her family."
