She's one woman who always follows her heart, so we aren't surprised that actor Dia Mirza is going to be seen next in a rom-com that she's producing along with two buddies. But even as she starts a new innings, she says that direction continues to be her dream. She chats with CS about being led by the heart:
Woman power
I am a very ambitious woman and I like to keep myself busy. I work hard, and equally efficiently, run my home. My daily schedule is packed, but I think that there is a lot that I still want to do and make time for. For instance, I would love to direct. I've been saying that forever and I hope to realise that dream one day.

Turning producer wasn't a strategic career planu00a0-- it just happened. And it made sense to make a rom-com since love stories are so easy to relate to.
Love aaj kal
I love watching and starring in romances. And it's great that the Bollywood love stories have now become more realistic. Just like we all fall in love, many of us also break up.
Life does take unexpected turns sometimes. But that's life for you. It's good to know that Indian cinema is waking up to the darker side of romances too. But the genre is always going to be a favourite in our country because we all love the idea of being in love. My definition of love is to be myself and to be free.
Freedom movement
I truly value my right to freedom. We've all been born free, but unfortunately, life takes its toll on us and binds us down. But I've always tried to follow the conviction of my heart without any fear.
Of course, you do end up taking risks and going wrong sometimes, but it's all a learning process. I find it therapeutic to be in a profession that gives me the freedom to express and communicate. I don't think I could ask for more.
