After winning accolades for her performance in her latest release, Piku, Deepika Padukone seems to be pulling out all stops to promote the film. The actress has asked Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a two-day break from the shoot of 'Bajirao Mastani' to take part in the post-release promotions of the Shoojit Sircar movie.

The word-of-mouth publicity for 'Piku' is quite positive and the film’s marketing team has requested her for some extra time to promote it, says a source close to the actress. She will complete her promotion commitments today and tomorrow.
All this while, Dippy had been juggling the two projects — shooting for 'Bajirao Mastani' at night and promoting 'Piku' during the day.
“Deepika is buoyed by the appreciation the film and her performance has received. So, she wants to publicise it as much as possible and has requested Bhansali to allow her to miss two days of shoot,” adds a source.
Deepika’s spokesperson confirms the news, saying: “She made a special request to Sanjay sir and he got her dates reworked so that she can promote the film ('Piku').”
