The theatrical trailer of Anurag Kashyap's much-delayed drama-thriller 'Ugly' has been released today.

Check out the dark and gritty trailer of the film here:

The film's story revolves around a kidnapping of a little girl, Kali. Rahul Bhat and Tejaswini Kolhapure play Kali's harrowed parents, while Ronit Roy plays a cop on the mission to find the girl.

Tejaswini Kolhapure made her foray into Bollywood with Anurag Kashyap's 'Paanch'; it was a film that never saw the light of day. It failed to release amidst objection from Indian Censor Board to the depiction of violence and drug abuse in the film. She was last seen in a blink-and-miss role in Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer 'Raavan' and is now back in the spotlight after four years.

'Ugly' also stars Siddhanth Kapoor and Surveen Chawla in pivotal roles. The movie has been produced by Phantom Films and Dar Motion Pictures.

'Ugly' has garnered rave reviews in several international film festivals. It was slated to release in 2013, but got delayed due to Anurag Kashyap’s long battle with the Indian Censor Board over the 'smoking is injurious to health' message issue.

The film will finally be hitting the theatres on December 26, 2014.
