Big B, Amar Singh - friends again?

The wedding reception of Amita Pathak, daughter of Ajay Devgn’s business manager Kumar Mangat, was a celeb-studded affair. But the highlight of the function — held on Tuesday night at Hotel Sun N Sand — was the meeting between friends-turned-foes Amitabh Bachchan and Amar Singh.

An eyewitness at the function said that Amar Singh came to the reception almost half hour before Amitabh Bachchan arrived with son Abhishek. “After wishing the couple, Singh went to the ballroom area of the hotel where all the VVIP guests — including Ajay Devgn — were present.’’

A little later in the evening, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan turned up at the function. Once they were escorted to the VVIP room, Amitabh Bachchan is believed to have gracefully made the first move and asked to meet Amar Singh.

When contacted, Amar Singh confirmed the news. “Yes, it’s true that we met for a few minutes. In fact, Amitabh asked Ajay Devgn’s staff to help locate me. We then met for a few minutes,” he said.

Bachchan left the venue but Amar Singh stayed on for a little more time. Amar Singh and Amitabh Bachchan go back a long way but the two have not been on talking terms ever since the politician was expelled from Samajwadi Party. Singh had also spoken out against Bachchans for attending an event hosted by MNS Chief Raj Thackeray.
