Ashutosh told IANS: "My role is that of any other person from our country. I play a common man who endures severe hardships and hassles."
He says the movie is not a "satire, but a portrayal of the real India".
"We are striving to highlight an unexplored facet about India, which hasn't been depicted on screen before. There are issues that citizens have forgotten because we aren't reminded about them. We want to portray the remarkable feats achieved by India which has inspired innovations all over the world," he added.
Ashutosh said the film narrates a "story about India and not about any political party".
"We are not trying to portray India in a negative light but focusing on the true and real events occurring in our country," he said.
The film will be jointly produced by Lom Harsh and Sandeep Choudhary under the banner of DLB Films Pvt Ltd.
