Arjun Kapoor recommends Punjabi track for Vidya Balan's 'Tumhari Sulu' after it was dropped from Mubarakan
A rehashed version of Guru Randhawa's Tu Meri Rani will make its way into Suresh Triveni's Tumhari Sulu, at Arjun Kapoor's behest. The actor tells mid-day that he found the song suitable for the Vidya Balan-starrer. "I thought it would be a perfect fit. I told them to hear the song, and I am glad that they decided to use it," says Kapoor, certain that Balan will do justice to the romantic number.

Interestingly, the Punjabi singer's rendition was to be part of Kapoor' Mubarakan. It was shelved after the team realised it did not blend with the storyline. "I came across this track online and fell in love with Guru's voice. But, it didn't fit into our film's narrative," Kapoor says. Tumhari Sulu co-producer Bhushan Kumar is happy that the track landed in his lap. "Arjun made me hear it. Since we know Guru, we acquired the song's rights from him. It is a soulful rendition, and has been recreated to fit into our film."
