Anurag Basu did a no-show at a cancer awareness event in Parel yesterday despite confirming his presence earlier. He apparently told organisers that he was stuck at the Censor Board office in Walkeshwar and was not allowed to leave the premises.
He was there for his Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif-starrer 'Jagga Jasoos'. The filmmaker was slated to be present at the event with Emraan Hashmi. Basu is a cancer survivor; Emraan's son, Ayaan, had also battled the disease.
