Despite the upcoming Shoojit Sircar production 'Pink' revolving around the lives of three women, actor Angad Bedi insists the film has a lot for the men to watch and learn from it.
In 'Pink', Taapsee Pannu along with Kirti Kulhari and debutant Andrea Tariang play three young women in Delhi who face assault charges after being molested by a group of men.
Angad, who is suspected to be someone harassing or causing trouble to the three girls, feels the film should be screened at schools and colleges.
"It is not a women-centric film. It is a youth-centric film. In fact, it is more for the men. It is something which every man, every youngster, every 16-year and above child should watch," Angad said in an interview here.
"It should be shown in classes in schools, colleges. It is not preachy. It has a strong subject while being a commercial film," he said.
The court room drama¿thriller, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, features megastar Amitabh Bachchan as the lawyer for the three girls.
The 33-year-old actor got on board after a chance meeting with the "Piku" filmmaker at an awards function, post which he got a call for a meeting and was instantly selected for therole.
Angad says it is unfair to call his character in the film "negative" because in most of Shoojit's films, there is no hero or villain.
"If you look at his films, they never have a hero or a villain. There are just characters. There is nobody who is good or bad. They are very realistically written. Even in this, be it the girls' role, Bachchan sir or me, they are all ery real," he said.
'Pink' marks Angad's third Bollywood film, after "Ungli" and "Faltu".
The actor, who is the son of former cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi, said Bachchan helped him a lot during the workshops prior to shooting the film on sets. "Bachchan sir helped me a lot. The beauty is, he is such an accommodating person. He has the ability to come down at your level. I am very new, this is my third film.
"He has been here for 45 years, he is a legend. He came down at my level, made everybody comfortable and became a father figure. We were all kids around him."
'Pink' is scheduled to release on September 16.
