Naach gaana may be unique to Hindi films, but with a Bollywood actress as part of their cast, makers of an Indo-British film couldn't resist weaving a dance sequence into the narration. Amy Jackson, who had showed off some mean moves in a couple of songs of her 2015 film, Singh Is Bliing, will put her nimble toes to good use for Boogie Man.
Amy, who plays the love interest of the protagonist's brother, says, "Bollywood dance is actually a genre across the globe. This sequence follows a theme of Beyoncé meets Bollywood. It's a sexy, exotic and powerful interpretation of Bollywood dance."
International choreographer Leena Patel, who has collaborated with the likes of rapper will.i.am, trained the team for the song.
Amy adds, "Bollywood dance is all about having fun in the moment. I practiced the steps for a few hours and picked up an intense three-minute routine in minimal time."
The song is currently being shot in London where an ornate set has been mounted at a suburban studio in London. Leena's dancers, along with Amy, completed the shoot over a two-day schedule.
