Who says that you can only find your knight in shining armour in a Mills & Boons book? Amrita Rao begs to differ. "Just because we live in the 21st century doesn't mean that candlelight dinners are passe and the notion of a Prince Charming is utopia," she asserts. The actor talks to CS about what it means to be in love:

The complete man
Well you can't go around finding love, it just grows on you. Having said that, I do have a list of what I want and don't want in my man. For starters, he should be creative for sure. I wouldn't want to spend my life with a clinical person.

Since I'm rather creative myself, I would want someone I can strike an intelligent conversation with. Next, he should have a kickass sense of humour and should know how to keep the people around him happy. Men who make me laugh gain those extra brownie points.

I am also looking for someone with strong leadership and commitment qualities. I am the kind of girl who would want to look up to her man and respect him. And yes, he should respect his parents. As strange as this may sound, this is one quality lacking in today's generation. The guy who can meet these requirements will surely be my man. Only good looks and a killer attitude won't do the trick.

Love makes the world go round
For me, a relationship is about being who you are and not who you try to be. The dos and don'ts that you read in the agony aunt columns seem rather funny and illogical to me. How can you start a relationship on a lie and then ask for commitment? Life doesn't work that way. There's no sense in being the stereotypical ideal girlfriend. As clich ufffdd and boring as this may sound, a relationship that is devoid of respect can't last.

Relationship fun-das
The silver screen might be celebrating the trend of break-ups and infidelity, but I hate the view. I don't quite understand how this trend can pick up in Bollywood, especially when we have had films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaenge. Cinema has always been the society's mirror. So I guess this is what today's generation is all about.

The youth have got all the wrong Westernised ideas of loveu00a0- two or even multiple timing, fighting in public, swearing aloud, etc. And they think that having a possessive partner is dangerous. But what's even worse is to have a partner setting rules for the other party and not following them himself. Love is not a joke. I hope that our youth learns to value the emotion.
