Alia Bhatt to perform with Dharavi 'junk band' in Mumbai on Children's Day today

Alia Bhatt, who is currently shooting in Singapore for Karan Johar's rom-com, 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya', has a choc-a-bloc schedule. After wrapping up work on the film, in which she has been paired opposite her 'Student of the Year' co-star Varun Dhawan for the third time, she will return to Mumbai to spread cheer among kids of Dharavi.
In a special Children's Day event to be held at Worli's National Sports Club of India today, the actress will perform with Dharavi Rocks, a junk band comprising over a dozen child ragpickers.
Reveals a source close to the actress, "She will interact with the kids and talk about her experiences while shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for her upcoming slice of life film. Apart from singing with them during the show, Alia will play a few games as well."
The actress is keen extend a helping hand to improve the living conditions of rag-pickers and wished to use this occasion to provide informal education to them in arts and music.
