Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan get nostalgic about their film together

After Jaanwar (1999) and Andaaz (2003), Suneel Darshan's Ek Rishtaa — The Bond Of Love (2001) will be screened tonight on television.

The filmmaker says that the Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar starrer holds a special place in his heart. "The film reflects my experiences with people over the years - how I learnt to trust certain people and was disillusioned by others," says Darshan.

The family drama marked the first collaboration between Bachchan and Kumar. "I was delighted when Amitabh Bachchan agreed to play the patriarch of the family, with Akshay featuring as his son."

The film also stars Raakhee, Karisma Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. It was among the top grossers of the year
