Ahmed Khan's loyalty to best friend Shahid Kapoor is now threatened by Khan's growing affinity to Ranbir Kapoor who's more than happy to dance to the choreographer's tunes.

The facts...
Ranbir's dance steps in Siddharth Anand's Anjana Anjani will be choreographed at the same time as Shahid's Mausam, the latter being Shahid's dad Pankaj Kapoor's first directorial venture. The choreographer will have no choice but to turn down Ranbir yet again. Says the choreographer. "Such a situation would be very awkward for me. There's no denying the fact that Shahid is a childhood buddy or that Ranbir and I are very close. In fact, I've choreographed Ranbir's dances in all his films after Saawariya except Wake Up Sid which clashed with Kaminey."
Problem of choice
Sighs Ahmed, "If I have to choose between the two, I'll have to go with Shahid. Earlier, I was exclusive to Shahid. The other actors that I choreographed for, like Shah Rukh Khan, were in a different league. But now, Ranbir is undoubtedly Shahid's competition. Luckily for me, Shahid and Ranbir are two different kinds of dancers. While Shahid is far more movement-perfect, Ranbir dances spontaneously."
However a showdown between the two young stars over their favourite choreographer can't be avoided. Sooner or later, one of them will end up being unhappy over his priority.

Ahmed Khan's case isn't different from that besieged choreographer Saroj Khan's career. Saroj, it must be recalled, tried to balance Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit as her two favourite clients. And failed to please both.
