Ask her whom she would love to style someday, pat comes the answer 'Madonna.' And that's because the songstress is very open to experimentation. We aren't surprised that Adhuna Bhabani Akhtar's new hair trends are reflective of the stylist's need to experiment and innovate with hair. And these cuts are a tribute to the city of Mumbai that makes her tick. She talks to CS about her Bollywood connections and styling:
Stylish Mumbai
Mumbai is a city that never sleeps; it is a city where the impossible can become possible; a city where people from all over the world come together to create and innovate, just like we do. So in the months to come, you are sure to see people sporting classic 'halo' cuts with a twist. Mumbai exudes confidence and its citizens too will do so with the new hair trends that not only include cuts that suit their personality, but those that will even enhance it more with the play of strong and subtle colours.
Mom knew best
My mom was very particular about her hair styling and grooming. In my teens, my mom would take me with her to the salons. I'd wait and watch while she got her styling done. The energy in these salons would really get me going. I'd find it extremely interesting to watch the different characters who would step in. Also, since I wasn't a very studious person, these salons presented a creative avenue for my talent.
Right hair
The men and women in our Hindi film industry definitely love to experiment. And it'll be impolite to say whose hairstyles I like the most as each of them have their unique stamp. But yes, I can tell you that Shahrukh (Khan) and Rani (Mukerji) have great hair. And yes, men are more experimental, but the women can't really help but stick to certain styles, as their characters demand these looks. They have more character-driven cuts, but given a chance they too seem keen to experiment.
