Time does fly by, and that too at supersonic speed. Actor Abhay Deol couldn't agree more. The man has actually been acting for seven long years, even though it seems like he just made an entry in B-Town with Socha Na Tha. Even Abhay can't believe that he's seven years down already. But he's still not a victim of the seven-year itch. He tells us why:
At the crossroads
I know that researchers say that people go through a period of dissatisfaction with their lives after seven years, but that's not been the case with me. I still love what I'm doing, but yes, the urge to become bigger and better is still unfulfilled. People say that if I want to become a bigger star, I should focus my energies on conventional, commercial projects. But I'm not sure if I want to do that. I'm at a crossroads in my career where I don't know where I want to go. I guess that's my seven-year itch.

Role play
Having said that, there is nothing boring in what I do. My agenda was always to be in Bollywood, not because I was coming from a filmy family, but because I always wanted to be an actor. So, I'm thrilled to be here. I've had my share of highs and lows, but I have no complaints. Why I do offbeat films is one question that I'm asked in all my interviews. But the fact is that I'm drawn to such roles. I would now love to see the offbeat becoming the norm.
