Anurag Kashyap's recent meeting with the chess Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand has sparked rumours of a collaboration for a biopic

At the recent preview of a fashion tour, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and chess Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand were engaged in a long conversation centered on the game of 64 squares as well as films. But if sources are to be believed, another topic also dominated their interaction. Kashyap apparently broached the possibility of a professional collaboration with Vishy — a biopic on the chess wiz.

Says a source, "Anurag comes from a chess and mathematics background, and they both exchanged opinions on each other's professions. And if all goes well, they might team up for a biopic. Anand feels that Aamir is ideal to play him on the big screen."
Soon after their interaction, Anand tweeted: "Discussed maths & chess & collaboration with #anurag kashyap. Fun day @'mumbai (sic)." In one of his interviews, when the king of the 64 squares was asked if he sees a biopic being made on him, he had said: "I can't predict that. It can happen, who knows? And if it does, Aamir Khan can be a good choice to play my part. Since he plays chess quite well, he will make it look natural."
While Anurag remained unavailable for comment, Anand's wife Aruna says, "There's nothing concrete as yet. The event was about collaboration in their (respective) professions."
