Today, on October 17th, 2023, a ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi, where the National Award winners were felicitated by none other than President Droupadi Murmu. The winners were previously announced at a press conference for the 69th National Film Awards in August.

A total of 280 feature films from 28 languages and 158 non-feature films in 23 languages were submitted to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for National Award consideration. Alia Bhatt, who won the award for Best Actress for her performance in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi,' arrived at the venue wearing her wedding saree. The actress was presented with the award by the honourable president.

Allu Arjun, who became the first actor from the Telugu film industry to win a National Award in the Best Actor category, attended the ceremony in an all-white button-up suit. The actor was honoured for his phenomenal performance in the blockbuster film 'Pushpa: The Rise.'

Kriti Sanon, who shared the National Award for Best Actress with Alia Bhatt for her brilliant performance in 'Mimi,' attended the ceremony in a stunning cream-coloured saree, with her hair tied in a bun and adorned with a beautiful Gajra.

Producer Varghese Moolan and actor-director R. Madhavan also attended the ceremony. The two were honoured by President Murmu in the category of the Best Feature Film Award for 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.'

Versatile actor Pankaj Tripathi received the award in the category of Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'Mimi.'
