Today, as the film completes four years of release we look back at the difficulties Hrithik Roshan had to go through in order to look the way he did. Earlier this year, Hrithik Roshan sat down with his fitness trainer Kris Gethin for a conversation on his body transformation, his mental health, and more. The actor recalled how he was on the verge of depression while prepping for the 2019 film 'War'.
While reminiscing about the moment when he shot War alongside Tiger Shroff, the actor said, “I feel as light and as fast as our last transformation. I thought I was dying when I was doing War. I wasn't prepared for the film and I was up against a really big challenge. I was trying to achieve perfection for which I wasn't ready. After the film, I went into adrenaline fatigue. For 3-4 months, I couldn't train and wasn't feeling good. I was almost on the verge of depression. I was completely lost and that's when I knew I needed to make a change in my life."
Meanwhile, Hrithik will be reprising his role of Kabir for the sequel of War. The film will be directed by Ayan Mukerji of 'Brahmastra' and 'Yeh Jawan Hai Deewani' fame. The film sees Jr NTR opposite Hrithik as the antagonist. Reportedly, Kiara Advani has been roped in as the female lead.
Apart from War 2, Hrithik Roshan will also be seen in the film 'Fighter' directed by Siddharth Anand. It is the first film of an aerial action franchise that also stars Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The film will see the protagonists play fighter pilots. The film will be released in theatres in January next year around the Republic Day weekend.
