As soon as Karan Johar and Shanaya posted the news, it reignited the nepotism debate. “The Karan Johar Rojgar Yojna is back,” wrote a social media user. Another took a jibe by posting, “Now, waiting for Khushi Kapoor’s debut.”

Karan, in association with Cornerstone Agency, recently launched a collaborative space to promote budding talent. The new venture is called DCA. This move has now made Dharma, the second Bollywood production house after Yash Raj Films to have a talent management wing.
"Dcfamily is not talent squad... It jst only celebratory kid family," wrote a user on Karan Johar's post. "Please go to find real talent from real people not just celebrities children Karan 💔😢 your such a great filmmaker and you have an eye for talent, please give the ordinary peoples a chance 💔🙏🏽 I love and respect all your work❤️❤️ I’m sure there’s many talented young people who want to work with you as well," a KJo fan wrote, showing concerns.
While one of the users begged to differ. He wrote, "Guys can we please stop hating before we actually see the final product ❤️ What if she turns out amazing and you can't expect her not to have connections because if we had those kinds of connections I know for a fact all of us would take that chance. ❤️❤️ I believe in her and you all should too because it's not right to judge someone off a few pictures"
Though Shanaya is yet to make her Bollywood debut, she has worked as one of the assistants on Janhvi Kapoor's 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' and has also made an appearance on the much-talked-about Netflix series 'Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives'.
