Bollywood actress and fashionista Sonam Kapoor, who can hardly go wrong when it comes to her sartorial choices is leaving no stone unturned to promote Indian designers through her influence and reach. Sonam’s latest set of pictures as she hops on the bow trend features a stunning outfit by Moonray, a label founded by Karishma and Avantika Swali in 2021. As per their website, Moonray is an expression that combines the mother-daughter duo’s love for design with their passion for inclusion.

Sonam’s outfit was a combination of an albera micro beaded appliqué skirt and a blazer handcrafted with fine needle vintage lace techniques. The details of the outfit reveal that the embroidery is a fragile modern take on Renaissance needle lace techniques and an ode to the revival and preservation of ancient handcraft art and embroidery techniques.

The blazer costs Rs 88,500 while the skirt comes at a price tag of Rs 1,46,000. For her footwear, Sonam wore shoes by the brand Theater. She let her hair down into loose curls secure with a matching bow. She completed her look with minimal makeup and statement earrings. Check out the pictures below.

Sonam has always proudly showcased the Indian craftsmanship globally. On showcasing India's beautiful heritage, history, and diversity on top global platforms, Sonam said in a statement, "If I had to represent India in one way or another, I would highlight the country's diversity and resilience. The fact that we have such a strong cultural heritage and ancient civilisation means that whatever is made in India has great value. It is a multicultural place where people from many faiths live together in harmony, and representing that is of utmost importance."

She added, "Besides being the land of yoga and spiritualism, for which India is renowned in other parts of the world, it is also celebrated for its music and artisanal craftsmanship. It is the realm of jewellery and embroidery. Most notably, numerous haute couture and luxury houses have their clothing intricately embroidered in India."
