Born in the culturally rich state of Rajasthan and raised amidst the vibrant landscapes of Jagraon, Punjab, Gordhan Singh’s journey is a testament to perseverance, passion, and unwavering dedication. At just 15 years old, armed with only ₹300 and a glimmer of hope, Gordhan left home with a recommendation letter from London which was sent by relatives of the renowned stunt director Mohan Baggad.

Mohan Bagga, widely celebrated for his work as a stunt coordinator in Hindi films such as Pardesi (1993) and Zinda Dil (2003), as well as notable Punjabi films, became Gordhan’s beacon of hope. With this letter in hand, he set out on a life-changing journey to Mumbai, the city of dreams.
However, after reaching Mumbai, Gordhan’s attempts to meet Mohan Baggad proved futile, as the city’s relentless pace and Baggad’s busy schedule made it impossible. After exhausting his limited resources, Gordhan found shelter in a gurdwara. One day, he met to Mohan Baggad’s nephew,(Mejor singh) who advised him to return home and even helped him financially to do so.
Despite returning to Punjab, Gordhan’s passion for acting remained undeterred. A few weeks later, he made his way back to Mumbai. Before stepping into the world of acting, Gordhan spent 15 years in the hospitality industry, wisely utilizing this time to complete his education alongside his demanding job. His unyielding dream of acting eventually led him to professional training under esteemed instructors from the National School of Drama (NSD), where he honed his craft and mastered the nuances of performance art.
A significant turning point in his journey came when Gordhan participated in the renowned theater workshops of Heggodu, Karnataka, under the guidance of acclaimed director Prasanna. This experience deepened his understanding of the art form and refined his acting skills. From humble beginnings to the world of cinema, Gordhan Singh’s inspiring story is one of resilience, growth, and the relentless pursuit of dreams.
