Renowned Eye Surgeon Dr. Cyres Mehta Strikes Gold at National Shooting Championship

India’s leading Ophthalmologist, Dr. Cyres Mehta, Director Dr. Cyres K Mehta’s International Eye Centre has won gold medal in the .32 centre fire pistol Masters division at All India Open Shooting Championship organised by National Rifle Association of India.


At the recently concluded All India Open Shooting Championship at Mandrem Goa organised by the National Rifle association of India, a renowned eye surgeon of India, Dr Cyres Mehta representing Maharashtra scored an unbeaten 270/300 to win the Gold in the Men’s masters .32 Centre fire competition.

This adds to his Gold medal winning performance 2 months earlier at the Captain Ezekiel Memorial State Championship organised by Maharashtra Rifle Association in the same event. Dr Mehta, Director Dr. Cyres K Mehta’s International Eye Centre, started shooting as a hobby just 2 years ago and has achieved this pinnacle in a short time. He is now looking forward to competing at the Nationals in Bhopal representing Maharashtra in November.
