1. Anjali Bhushan: Advocating Systemic Change for Gender Equality
To eliminate violence against women and all genders, fostering a healing mindset must become a universal priority. Educating men on the principles of equality and respect is crucial, as the majority of aggressors and perpetrators tend to be male. A healthier society emerges when men adopt collaborative rather than combative attitudes. Equally essential is empowering girls with self-love, leadership skills, and the same opportunities traditionally afforded to boys. The outdated divisional constructs between genders no longer have a place in modern society. Change must begin in schools and family systems, as children internalize behavioral patterns early in life.
Moreover, media, films, music, and gaming must actively promote gender sensitivity. For instance, when a woman-led film fails, it’s often labeled as proof of a broader issue of unwanted female protagonists, unlike male-led films. This highlights the urgent need for a systemic mindset shift in our culture and mainstream narratives
Anjali Bhushan, an accomplished filmmaker and content strategist, is currently the founder of Yantra Films - a young future forward content studio, with Meet Bros. She is currently in development of her directorial debut. In her previous role she served as Head of Content & Production at Viacom18 Studios. Violence against women is not only an individual tragedy but a societal failure that demands urgent and sustained action. We are at a critical juncture where silence is no longer an option. For too long, the cries of injustice have been ignored. Ask yourself: Is your daughter safe? If not, what steps are we taking to change this reality?
This is not about marches or slogans-it’s about decisive action. Teach your sons to value womanhood and empower daughters with the tools to protect themselves. True freedom comes from self-respect, enhanced self-image, and reclaimed dignity. Women are neither puppets nor slaves. It’s time to rise, act, and secure safety and equality for all. 5. Meghha Mehta: Nurturing Change Through Parenting
On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, let’s reflect on how the seeds of change are sown at home. As an ICF-certified Child/Adolescent Development and Parenting Coach and author of four widely-read parenting ebooks, I advocate for raising children with emotional intelligence (EQ) and challenging ingrained gender biases. By teaching boys to empathize and girls to embrace their worth beyond stereotypes, we can create a generation that values equality and compassion. Together, we’re shaping a future where respect replaces violence, and kindness prevails. Parenting isn’t just about nurturing-it’s about building a better world.

On this pivotal day, we come together to reaffirm the commitment to a world where every woman lives free from violence. To achieve this, we must challenge discriminatory practices, advocate for gender-sensitive education, and build supportive systems for women. On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we stand together to raise our voices, support survivors, and call for a safer, more just world. Violence against women is not merely an individual issue but a collective societal failure. We must challenge harmful norms, educate future generations, and empower women to reclaim their rights. Through unity and action, we can build a future where safety, equality, and respect are the norm, not the exception. Stand with women. Stand against violence.

9. Saraswati Raman: Balancing Energies for Healing and Change
On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we must address how imbalances in masculine and feminine energies contribute to toxic relationships. When feminine energy is disrupted, often due to lack of support early in life, it leads to emotional chaos. Many men, disconnected from their feminine side, over-rely on masculine traits, creating imbalance in relationships. A man who masters his masculine energy-stability, focus, and discipline-can form healthy, respectful connections. True change comes from healing both energies, fostering relationships built on mutual respect, safety, and equality.
Saraswati Raman, a certified Yoga Teacher and Transformational Coach, recently spoke at a TEDx talk in Jamnagar, where she shared her discovery of how sound vibrations can correct energetic deficiencies and elevate emotional states like love, peace, and enlightenment. After retiring from a 34-year banking career, she now dedicates herself to helping individuals achieve higher vibrations and align with cosmic consciousness.
10. Abhishek Kumar Tripathi: Building Safe Spaces for Women in Construction
On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we stand together to break the silence around abuse. For far too long, many women have suffered in isolation. Today, let’s commit to being allies-by speaking out against injustice and creating safe spaces for open dialogue. Change begins when we refuse to ignore the voices that cry for help. Together, we can build a world where every woman is heard, valued, and safe.
