Located on the G-17A LG Floor of one of Mumbai’s premier shopping destinations, the new store reflects Greensole’s commitment to environmental responsibility. The design of the store aligns with the brand’s values, utilizing eco-friendly materials and a minimalist aesthetic to reduce the carbon footprint associated with retail spaces.

The event was attended by key figures from the fashion and entertainment industries, including Ms. Darshana Gajare, Head of Sustainability at Lakme Fashion Week, and actors Manav Gohil and Pavail Gulati. Their presence underscored the increasing support for sustainable practices within the fashion sector.

Greensole was founded by Shriyans Bhandari and Ramesh Dhami, with the backing of Rushabh Vora and Ram Fashion Exports. The founders have consistently advocated for fashion that is both stylish and responsible. "Our new store is not merely a retail space; it’s a testament to the fact that eco-friendly choices can coexist with fashion and accessibility," remarked Bhandari. He emphasized the brand’s intention to reach a broader audience while maintaining its commitment to environmental impact reduction.

The store offers a curated selection of footwear for men, women, and children, all crafted from recycled and upcycled materials. Greensole’s vegan footwear line, created from recycled soles and organic materials such as tennis balls, coffee, and wood cork, exemplifies the brand’s dedication to cruelty-free and sustainable production. Notably, Greensole refrains from using synthetics, plastic, metal, and animal leather, ensuring that each pair of shoes aligns with the brand’s ethical standards.

The global fashion industry is a significant contributor to environmental degradation, generating approximately 92 million metric tons of waste annually and relying heavily on animal leather, often at the expense of animal welfare and river ecosystems. Greensole’s innovative approach offers an alternative, addressing these concerns without compromising on style or ethical values.

Greensole has received international acclaim for its efforts, including recognition from prominent figures such as former U.S. President Barack Obama. The brand’s pioneering use of recycled materials positions it as a leader in the movement toward a more ethical and sustainable fashion industry.

The new store is positioned to become a key destination for consumers who prioritize sustainability without sacrificing style.
