Oberoi International School's Taekwondo prodigies celebrate their triumphs at the STAIR Youth National Games

Samarth Chandock (9 years) and Nimansh Chandock (8 years) from Oberoi International School, JVLR, showcased their talent at the STAIR Youth National Games 2024 held at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Stadium between 27 and 30 April. Organized by the National Sports Promotion Organisation of India, this event featured over 5,000 gold medalists from 15 states and union territories, selected through a rigorous process involving 2,000 district championships across various sports categories.

Training under the guidance of Master Jayesh Velhal (6 Dan Black Belt and International Coach C Referee) at Siddhakala Taekwondo Academy, the brothers participated in the Poomsae events of Taekwondo, representing Maharashtra. Their success in this category was noteworthy.
Samarth claimed the Gold medal, with Nimansh securing the Silver in the Under 12 individual event. Additionally, the brothers teamed up with Ibrahim Kazi to win the Gold medal in the U-12 group Poomsae event. Samarth also clinched another gold in the U- 12 mixed pairs event.
This achievement not only reflects the individual dedication and skill of Samarth and Nimansh but also underscores the commitment of their coaches at Siddhakala Academy and the support from Oberoi International School in nurturing young talent and promoting excellence in sports.
