During the Covid period, across the globe and to varying extents, cinemas and theatres were shut, shows were postponed, and film releases were shifted to future dates or delayed indefinitely. Theatre is the much-needed antidote to these gloomy days as nothing can amount to the experience that a staged performance with hundreds filled up in an auditorium gives. It was a head-on challenge for directors, actors, and technicians across the nation to make the medium of theatre thrive.

The newest entrant in B-town, Vipin Bhardwaj, is an Indian Movie And Theater Actor working in the Hindi film industry since 2016. Vipin Bhardwaj is a prominent name in the fashion industry and has worked out national and international fashion shows like Bombay Times runway, IIFW shows, and many more. He has worked in short films, commercials, and music videos like 'Pretty Girl' (Kanika Kapoor) and Yaad Na Karan. He has been associated with a theatre group for 3 long years. Having a background in theatres, it was very disheartening for him to see the theatres shut and show to be delayed due to the pandemic.

Vipin recently finished the sequel shoot of the web series Crackdown.' Vipin has performed plays like Back To School, Truth N Dare, Snow White, etc. After almost three years, he performed in ‘1962 Rezang-la ke Shaheed’, which was enacted and performed at NCPA Mumbai on 25th April 2022 under the banner of Sixth Sense Cine Vision. It was an element of joy and euphoria for Vipin Bhardwaj. Vipin Bhardwaj was overwhelmed while talking about the play. He expressed that he loves playing the role of army men as it is something he aspires to. The play is set in the Indo-Chinese 1962 war; some live war scenes are also displayed to go with the plot.

Directed and designed by Smita Tripathi and Vishal Tiwari, ‘Rezang-la-ke Shaheed’ is written by Gaurav Ambare. Ashish Mishra has given the music and lights by Pawan Chakraworty, and Akashkumar is the assistant director. The play depicts the experiences of the Indian army and how having weaker equipment compared to the enemy, the Indian army assassinated 10 times more of their army. Vipin Bhardwaj played the character of Rana, a fun-loving but emotional person with outstanding bonds with his peers.

Other actors in the play are Rahuul Chwudhary, Dhruv Tripathi, Amit Tiwari, Jagmag Parmarth, Sanjaykumar Sahu, Ahmarr Khurshid, Basant Kumar, Anushri Kushwaha, Prayas Pandey, Ashutosh Shukla, Prateek Singh Nikhurpa and Mobassheer Ali Siddiquie. Vipin Bhardwaj showed his gratitude and joy about this play and was pleased about the event. His following projects web series The MIRAZE, directed by Sanjiv Chadha, and the short film THE LAKE, are in the post-production stage and will stream soon
