Hailing from Naugaon Vikas Khand, Uttarakhand, India, Smriti Silwal would always dream about making it huge in her career; little did she know that life indeed would present her with incredible new opportunities as she would grow up. Looking back, Smriti Silwal says that she has come a long way after overcoming the many challenges that acted as roadblocks in her career and now can’t wait to take over her dreams of making it big in the entertainment industry. She is the one who shone brightly in Channel V’s reality show Mega Model Gladrags and is making strides as a model and actor today. Smriti Silwal also attributes her success to Maureen Wadia, who ran Gladrags and who supported her in her journey.
She serves as the brand ambassador of Multimedia.com society organization, which works for raising awareness in health, education, environment, and transportation niches. Not just that, for her compassion and love for society, Smriti Silwal has joined hands with Social Beyond Boundaries organization based in Mumbai for helping children in education, health, and food.
Smriti Silwal showcased her calibre as an actor with the play “Apne Apne Daav” under a theatre group in Mumbai. Besides this, she has also been working for various brands. On the upcoming Women’s Day, Smriti Silwal highlights, “I am proud to be a girl from Uttarakhand, from where women have always made strides across different industries. For me, coming from my native to making a name for myself in the glamour world was no cakewalk, but things started falling into place because of my determination and passion, which led me to become a prominent name in the industry.”
