The Beginning

Sampath Rai comes from a middle-class family in Kerala. Like others, his parents also wanted him to focus on his studies rather than gaming. Since childhood, Sampath was interested in gaming and used to play and watch gameplay videos, but never knew that this gaming will truly change his life in the future.
When Free Fire was launched in 2017, Sampath got involved in playing due to which he lost all his interest in studies. “I lost my interest in studies, found it boring, and just want to play games,” says Sampath.
Family Support
“Coming from a family where everyone is Government officials, no one has supported me initially” regrets Sampath. His parents, family members criticized him for the lack of concentration on his studies. But since Sampath was passionate about gaming and wanted to achieve big in this gaming world, he decided to enter the world of YouTube.
The Start
Starting a YouTube channel was a turning point in Sampath’s life as he was very much keen on his career in gaming. He interacted with ‘Gyan Gaming’ in his live streaming session. Sampath was mesmerized by his journey in gaming. He took valuable guidance from Gyan Gaming and learned various gaming techniques as well as methods of earnings from YouTube.
Sooner Sampath started his channel RaiStar and was being active on it 24X7. The urge to learn something new, his interest in gaming, and his dedication encouraged him to work honestly on his gameplays. He learned new skills, as well as interacted with many new friends on YouTube. His ability and attitude of learning something new every time made him famous amongst his YouTube friends.
He has started his channel with just one subscriber then, and today, RaiStar is blessed with massive 6.16 Million subscribers, and the count is still increasing with each passing day. Sampath also have another channel on YouTube ‘Rai Live’ where he frequently uploads the gameplay videos. The channel is trending with 2.4 Million subscribers.
