Our Virtual Love Story talks about two people who meet in the backdrop of a gripping mobile game, Battle of Arstov. To each other, they are Kraken and Brown Swan, but to the rest of the world and people around their lives, they’re better known as Rishabh Kulkarni and Samira Patel. So, what happens when Cupid transcends the barriers of the virtual world and strikes the heart of two gamers?
Though the virtual world brings them closer, they live oceans apart in Mumbai and Los Angeles. As the plot furthers, we find the protagonists’ hearts meet, playing along, seeking solace in each other’s company, and developing an authentic connection. Over time, the readers are given a treat as they watch the characters figure out their bond in the world of ‘Battle Of Arstov’ and whether this bond will move to the real world where they are just Rishabh and Samira. This book showcases an interesting blend between the characters’ personal lives as well as what they become when they only meet and talk through the gaming world.
Read ‘Our Virtual Love Story’ and find yourself in the world of gaming and thrills that come along with it while also being pulled into a whirlwind romance that explores interesting themes of love, faith, and commitment.
“This book is ‘Ready Player One’ meets ‘You’ve Got Mail,’ which should make it a treat for all nerds and rom-com fans,” explains author Juhi. She further adds that as not many people have explored relationships within video games, this seemed like a fun yet exciting story to begin her writing journey with.
‘Our Virtual Love Story’ is the debut release of author Juhi GP. Juhi is a marketing executive based in Los Angeles, California. She was born and raised in Mumbai and then moved to the US for college. She played video games growing up but really got into mobile gaming when the battle royale craze picked up. While playing she realized people were spending hours in this virtual world and forming friendships and alliances that they seemed to be genuinely enjoying.
When she isn’t churning exciting plots, Juhi enjoys biking, kayaking, and being among an adorable company of dogs. Aside from that, she enjoys figuring out new technology and new developments in the digital world.
‘Our Virtual Love Story’ is author Juhi GP’s first book, and she does not plan on stopping here. With a lot of ideas bouncing in her creative head, the author intends to bring along more works. She has been working on some slice of life, short stories, which she will soon compile into her next book. Juhi also plans to explore the world of science fiction further and will soon be developing a story of that genre.
Creating content and telling stories has been Juhi’s dream since childhood, and she yearned to complete a passion project that was excited about. It is not so easy to release your first work, and the fact that Author Juhi GP successfully released hers makes her an inspiration to many who wish to release their own stories out there. Her advice to them is simple: Just write! “I know this is something everyone hears often. But this advice is given for a reason. You must write; there is no other way about it. Don’t think too hard about whether people will like it or not. You have a story, and then the next step is to put it out there, worry about the rest later. Half the battle is won from just picking up a pen and writing till you finish the whole story,” says Juhi. Writing with people is helpful too. When you see them progress, it motivates and holds you accountable to do the same.
‘Our Virtual Love Story’ has been published by Srishti Publishers and is 183 pages long, priced at Rs 299 only! Hurry to the closest bookstore and get a copy of your own, or you can also order it on Amazon and Flipkart.
