Agricultural reform is vital for evolution to sustainable food production, acknowledging global change and protecting food and nutritional security. When the government comes to reality checks, it falls far away from the expectations. Haresh makes sure that these reforms and policies are served to every individual of the Gujarat state and also in metropolitan areas.
Gujarat government initiated a scheme called ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana’ to support 10th pass students to get financial assistance for enrollment in higher studies. Students and parents mistakenly found it challenging to apply for the scheme on a government website; they started sending necessary documents on a dedicated website for all the government policies and schemes. It showed that the government is not fully aware of ground reality, and they don’t have a proper mechanism to reach the beneficiaries. Haresh held their hand by bridging the gap between the government and the students.
Haresh advocates for its public and helps them steer the complexities of large bureaucracies deemed to provide support services but often fail to do so because of their extent, sophistication and often built-in prejudices towards the people they are supposed to serve. A social worker like Haresh B Chhelana is Jack of all trades, but he has mastered the people skills. Haresh has received immense love from people that keeps him coming back, day in and out. He is hopeful for the future of the people he serves; Haresh is optimistic and always looking toward a better tomorrow.
