With each passing day, we are witnessing new advancements in the electric mobility space. As the developments are shaping up, there has been a collaborative effort between automobile manufacturers, dealers, battery producers and governments. Electric mobility is truly dominating the automobile sector and welcoming this new change, Karan Asrani, CEO of Krishna Group foresees what the future of electric mobility looks like in India. Before jumping to electric mobility, here’s something to know about Mr. Asrani.

Born and brought up in Mumbai, Karan comes from a business family. From a tender age, he has been fascinated by cars and other automotive vehicles. Much before getting into the business of the automobile sector, he worked with Religare Securities – a stockbroking firm in Mumbai. However, he then got into the business of automobiles and has been working in this sector for more than seven years. The Asrani family has been the pioneer behind bringing the concept of all cars under the same roof.

Dealing in both passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles, Karan Asrani has had an association with major brands – Tata, Mahindra, My TVS and Mahindra First Choice. As an entrepreneur, Karan Asrani strongly believes that a business can prosper on a larger scale with technological advancements.

As per the stats, the global electric vehicle market size was said to be 4,093 thousand units in 2021. The number is supposed to grow and reach 34,756 thousand units by 2030, at a CAGR of 26.8%. India is already touted to be the biggest hub for electric vehicles in the coming time.

Looks like electrification is the sustainable and environmentally-friendly alternative to reduce fuel and carbon emissions. According to Karan Asrani, electric mobility will have environmental benefits and lower operating costs compared to high combustion engines. Moreover, the Indian government is leaving no stone unturned to bring the e-mobility ecosystem to life.

Sharing his thoughts about India being the ultimate EV hub, Karan said, “India is quite conscious when it comes to climate change. Following the European countries and China, even we are trying to reduce the pollution levels. Being the second-most populated country in the world, I feel that the country will have a paradigm shift to EV mobility at a rapid pace.” While concluding, he stated that the two-wheeler vehicles will get into the EV space much faster than the four-wheeler vehicles.
