Nana Patekar opened up on the 'Padmavati' controversy at the 48th edition of International Film Festival Of India (IFFI) in Goa. Speaking about it, Nana Patekar said that intimidating anyone is wrong. He said that the film has not yet been released. "Those who are opposing the film should see the film first. A similar type of protest was held at the time of Bajirao Mastani. But after watching the film, people found that there was nothing wrong with it. So after that, the protest died down," Nana Patekar said.

Nana Patekar speaks up on Padmavati row
Nana Patekar also said that in this case 'Padmavati' director Sanjay Leela Bhansali should also show his intelligence. He also said that people opposing the film should realise their own responsibility. Nana Patekar further said that the subject of cutting someone's head or nose is absolutely wrong and should not happen.
Meanwhile, Nana Patekar's Marathi film 'Natsamrat' was screened at IFFI. Nana Patekar was last seen on the big screen in 'Golmaal Again'.
