Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray announced that the party will seek legal recourse regarding the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha seat result.
Thackeray claimed that victory was unfairly taken from their candidate, Amol Kirtikar, due to misuse of official machinery, & a petition will be filed in court
The contested seat saw Amol Kirtikar lose by a narrow margin of 48 votes to Ravindra Waikar of the rival Shiv Sena faction led by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde.
Thackeray labelled the result a "fraud" and stated that if election process were free & fair, BJP would not have won 240 Lok Sabha seats but rather only 40
Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab echoed Thackeray’s sentiments, demanding the Election Commission take action and declare Kirtikar the winner.
Parab highlighted irregularities during vote counting process, noting that tally was accurate until 19th round, after which transparency was compromised.
