Rajnath Singh commends soldiers` resolve

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised the determination of Indian Army soldiers during his visit to the Siachen Glacier, the world`s highest battlefield.
Addressing troops at an altitude of 15,100 ft, Singh acknowledged the brave soldiers` courage and resilience in battling extreme weather conditions at Siachen.
Singh hailed Siachen as a symbol of India`s sovereignty and determination, equating it to the capital of courage, grit, and determination.
The visit came a week after the Indian Army commemorated 40 years of presence in Siachen following `Operation Meghdoot`.
Singh, accompanied by top military officials, conducted an on-the-ground review of the security situation and operational readiness at Siachen Glacier.
The defence minister lays a wreath at the Siachen War Memorial, paying homage to the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation.
