Sens UBT erects Maharashtra Bandh poster

On August 23, 2024, Shiv Sena (UBT) Shakha Kramank 14 placed a signboard announcing the `Maharashtra Bandh` on a street light pole.
This was part of the wider preparations for the bandh called by the Maha Vikas Aghadi to protest the Badlapur sexual assault.
Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) had called for a state-wide bandh on August 24, 2024, in response to a recent sexual assault incident in Badlapur.
However, on Friday, the bandh was recalled after a Bombay High Court direction which stated that the bandh was unconstitutional.
Badlapur Police had recently arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting two toddlers in the washroom of the kindergarten in the city.
