Homage to 2001 Parliament attack victims

Tributes were paid to the security personnel who who died while fighting terrorists who attacked Parliament on December 11 in 2001

Nine peple, including eight security personnel, had died in the attack in which all five Pakistan-sponsored terrorists were killed

President Droupadi Murmu said the nation will forever be indebted to the security personnel who laid down their lives in the attack

PM Modi said their courage and sacrifice in the face of danger will forever be etched in our nation`s memory.

Modi was joined by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Home Minister Amit Shah and other dignitaries at a ceremony in the Parliament House where they paid tributes

The attack led to increased security measures in the national capital city Delhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also paid tributes to those slain the 2001 attack
