A clash broke out in Surat, Gujarat, after an idol of Lord Ganesh was damaged, leading to stone-pelting and police injuries. The incident occurred when some persons threw stones at Ganesh pandal prompting detention of minors which in turn sparked protest by mob of around 300 persons.
