Prajakta Koli brings Gauri home
Bollywood actress and internet personality Prajakta Koli shared a glimpse of ‘Gauri’ pooja amid the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Taking to Instagram, Prajakta shared a series of pictures with the caption, “Gaura Bai aayeli.”
In the pictures, Prajakta can be seen dressing up the idol of Gauri in a purple saree.
She puts on gold jewellery on the neck and also a bespoke ear cuff to elevate the look.
She also adds flowers to the hair of the idol, who has come home as a part of the festivities.
Gauri is considered an incarnation of Maa Parvati, the mother of Lord Ganesha.
However, in Maharashtra, she is revered as Lord Ganesha`s sister who visits him. Prajakta was joined by Mithila Palkar for the pooja.
Her arrival, like that of her brother, symbolises blessings of health, wealth, happiness, and prosperity.
