Dia`s sustainable bash for son Avyaan
Climate crusader Dia Mirza once again opted for a sustainable birthday bash for her son Avyaan, who turned three on May 14.
It was a wildlife-themed birthday with Avyaan’s cake having a tiger and giraffe on it. For those unversed, his first word was “Tiger”.
The party was organised in Dia’s garden at their home in Mumbai which she calls a sanctuary.
Dia used cloth banners and buntings for decor. They were a great aesthetic addition to the party.
She also placed an earthen pot as well as a glass water dispenser with reusable cups to beat the heat and stay hydrated.
To gorge on the tastiest spread at the buffet, Dia made sure the cutlery was made of bamboo and plates of bagasse.
The return gifts for all the kids were local and sustainable, and trees were grown in their names at Uttarakhand.
“Let’s come together to ensure our kids have parties that include: Reusable decor. No balloons. No plastic,” she wrote on Instagram.
