Delhi`s Rouse Avenue court on Monday sent BRS leader K Kavitha to judicial custody till April 23 after she was arrested by CBI in Delhi excise scam.

Daughter of former Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao was arrested from Tihar jail; she was lodged there after arrest by Enforcement Directorate (ED).

CBI had produced her before court on expiry of her 3-day police custody granted earlier by the judge.

The federal agency told the court she was not required for further custodial interrogation.

Meanwhile, counsels representing Kavitha opposed the plea saying the agency had insufficient grounds to keep her in custody.
