Cybersecurity Key to dvpt: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasised the importance of cybersecurity in ensuring national security, stating that progress is impossible without it.

Shah`s remarks came during the first foundation day celebration of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).

In his address, Shah highlighted global nature of cybercrime, stressing the need for collective action to combat it, as it knows no boundaries.

The government plans to train 5,000 cyber commandos over the next five years to tackle cybercrimes in India, he said.

Shah inaugurated four platforms under I4C to enhance the fight against cybercrime which was established in 2018.
