Changes in ODI World Cup 2023 schedule

New World Cup schedule

ICC and BCCI have released revised fixtures for ODI World Cup 2023. Nine changes have been made in the schedule.

India vs Pakistan

The much-anticipated India-Pakistan clash, originally scheduled for 15th October, has been moved one day prior to 14th October.

Security concerns

The change was made since Ahmedabad officials expressed concern over providing enough security given the original date clashed with the start of Navratri.

Other changes

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka has moved from Oct 12 to Oct 10 while South Africa’s match against Australia has moved from Oct 13 to Oct 12.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh has shifted from Oct 14 to Oct 13 while England’s match against Australia on Oct 10 is now a day match.
