NCP chief & Deputy CM Ajit Pawar`s Jan Sanman Yatra continued through Nashik district on Friday receiving warm reception from large gathering, especially women.
The yatra, which aims to raise awareness about various welfare schemes, saw Pawar engaging with the public in Niphad, Lasalgaon, and Yeola.
During his address to the women and farmers, Pawar highlighted the benefits of the recently launched welfare schemes by the Maharashtra government.
One of the key schemes discussed was the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme, which Pawar described as a "game changer" for women across the state.
He assured the gathering that first instalment under this scheme would be disbursed on Aug 17 as he has authorised the transfer of Rs 6,000 crore.
Pawar, responding to opposition parties who have questioned the feasibility of the scheme, asserted that Maharashtra has sufficient funds to sustain it.
