A Mumbai court has extended the police custody of two men arrested from Punjab in connection with Salman Khan house firing till April 30.
The two individuals, Subhash Chander (37) and Anuj Thapan (32), were presented before a magistrate`s court following their arrest by the crime branch.
The police asserted that Chander & Thapan played significant roles in the crime, allegedly supplying weapons and cartridges to shooters involved in incident.
Authorities said it was important to question suspects to ascertain the source of weapons and instructions given to shooters, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta.
Allegedly Chander & Thapan went to Panvel in March to deliver country-made pistols and live rounds to Pal and Gupta, who opened fire outside Salman Khan`s home.
Advocates representing the accused argued they were wrongly implicated in the case & said they neither supplied firearms nor were involved with Bishnoi gang
